I guess this is a stupid question but I just want to make sure. I'm probably gonna check this out tomorrow but wanted to know what are the size of the speakers in my car. I don't really want to enlarge the speaker holes to put in bigger speakers (or should I?) so I just want to buy speakers that has the same size as the stock ones.

And btw, what do you think of my choices of speakers:
*ROCKFORD FOSGATE FRC4205 5 1/4" SPEAKERS for the front (is size is alright)
*ROCKFORD FOSGATE FRC4306 6 1/2" SPEAKERS for the rear (is size is correct also)

Any comment would be appreciated. Thx!

 

The 97-99 maximas are 6.5 front and back but i believe they could be oversize. My front speakers didn't fit in perfectly but my back did, so i am leaning towards the fact the holes are really 6.5 and not oversize but who knows

I have a 96 and I put Rockford Fosgate 6 1/2 in both the front and back.

 

Yeah, I asked the guy at a shop and it's 6-12" in front and back. Now, I changed my mind about those RF and i decided to go with Infinity Reference 6002i, any inputs on those?

 

the 6002 are decent speakers, kappas are better, but lots are better than kappas
