Im going to replace my factory radio in an 02 with a kenwood ddx-7015.
its a double din. So far i have seen 3 options 1.courtesy nissan has a replacement part that looks like it includes the vents down 2.scoshe has one that says for single or double din 3.american international has one i only see it saying for single din.
anyone have any of these hows the quality
anyone know of any others.

You are correct, those are your three choices.

1) The best one, best fit, perfect color match since it is a Nissan part. Also most expensive.
2) Color matched but not style matched. Some people have fitment issues and need to drill new holes.
3) Black ABS plastic, ghetto looking. I hated it every time I got into my car.

The Nissan piece with pocket was over $100. It sounds like a lot when the other choices are all under $20. But seriously, it's one of those things that I have absolutely no regrets about spending the money on.

 

hey quick ? kojiro... my friend has a clarion flip out tv in his 5th gen max, and he has a cd/mp3/dvd plaer under his seat. its the size of an average radio. what dash kit can he use to put both the tv and dvd plaer in the dash? i told him im almost positive the gxe kit can do it. can the scoche kit do it also?

 

Yup, either will do it. The cheap one has a molded pocket so you can only do 1 DIN stereo. The GXE or the scocshe kit can do two DIN units, or one double-DIN unit.

 

Go with the Nissan GXE kit. Believe me, it's the best one. I tried all the aftermarket dash kits dash kits, and they just didn't look right. The GXE kit looks more "factory". Check the "for sale" forum, sometimes you'll find a member selling one. That's where I got mine.
