My new Konig's Rage Motif rims...tell me what you think! (*pics*)

Now, that I sold my other rims because I didn't like the look...I picked up a nice set of these Konig's 17X7. I was going to try to get some 18" wheels, but my budget is kinda tight, so I just settled with some 17"s. Anyway, these wheels are very lightweight and also come in chrome. I got a set of silver ones with polished accents. Tell me what you guys think. I know I need a drop, but that is my next project. I was waiting until I found some rims, first.

Well.......IMO there nice ,They give your car a nice clean look, but to be honest with you , if you couldn't go to a plus 1 or 2 upgrade in rim/tires, you waisted your money . But hey to each there own.

Yeah, thanks! My other set were 17X8's which gave the look of a much wider tire, but with the chrome lip, they looked more like 16's! I won these Konig's, though, off of Ebay for a steal!

Pictures aren't showing up, but that's ok because 1.) I don't like Konigs and 2.) 17's are waaaay too small, especially since your car came with stock 17's.

I like em....nothing wrong with 17's...you get faster acceleration with 17's and a little more sidewall for dealing with potholes (esp. if you're running em in the winter), plus a nicer ride and cheaper tires. Don't listen to everyone who says you should get 20's .

I would like your rims better on a dark colored car, though...

besides, if they are lighter than the stock 17's then you certainly didn't waste your money...

They look like stock rims from another car..

You should have went with 24's

Thanks for the props! Yeah, any rim/tire larger than 19's on our Max's looks more like a 4X4!

Doesnt look too bad for konigs. An improvement from your last rims which look like 15s. Theres nothing wrong with 17".

For performance, you got the right rims.

For style, 18s would look a lot better.

You made the right choice.

You made the right choice. The wheels look great & after a drop it will look even better. Going plus 1 or 2 looks great but the performance aspect stinks. I went with 17s but went with the 235/45/17 to keep approx the same radius as my stock 16s with stock tires for performance reasons. I get complements on my rims all the time. Some People on the org like the cookie cutter look hence the EVO 5s. Stay original. Have you ever been in someones Max with 18s or 19s? You spend more time going 20MPH worried about the road conditions then you do actually enjoying the performance of the car. Nice 17s equal less worries. Just my 2 cents

I like them, a small drop would be sweet also. I rather also stick with 17's for performance reasons, 18's are nice though but anything larger is too big IMO.....
your window shades gotta go thou...i hate those things!!!

On the contrary, the performance aspect is better, maybe not on acceleration, but turn in and handling is improved.

I agree, might as well stick with the stockers if you wanna roll on 17s.

Thanks for all your replies. Yeah, like I said before, I just wanted a different look from the stock 17's, while keeping the same diameter but different rims. These are only temporary until I save up for some 18's. As, you can see, from my homepage, I tend to go thru some rims since I'm hardly satisfied until I see something better.

Yeah, those ventshades may have to go, but it rains alot where I live. I like to vent my windows when it rains to avoid condensation, and without these the rain just pours into the car. But, if you look closely, I had applied some chrome pinstriping along the top of the shades to blend in with the chrome window trim to give it more of a stock look.
