Was just wondering if neone knows whether it has been confirmed whether the 2002 max will have the 3.5 liter 260 HP vq... oh yea and also read that the Z 6-speed will be in a future Maxima?..

 

The number 260 has not been confirmed, but the engine upgrade has. The Max will definitely get a more powerful engine (someone emailed Nissan about this, I forgot who). The 6-speed, like the 260 number, is a rumor that seems very likely for this new engine.

 

I read in Motor Trend that the engine will in fact have 260HP. They are usually very accurate. So long' 97!!!
If they drop the 6spd I will be getting one ASAP!
