the more i test fit and experiment i feel that i will be able to fit both my t22's into the maxima. disregard piping for now, i am only doing preliminary testing at the moment. i really wish the search worked and ive been reading pages and pages of threads for days now but i havent gotten a straight answer. the wastegate is set for 9.5lbs stock and i need to know how much pressure the stock injectors can flow for. im sure theres some kind of mathematical way to figure it out but im no rocket scientist. from what ive been reading, people on stock injectors dont seem to be running more than 6psi but i did read in one thread about someone mentioning he was running 11.5? he was not very clear so im not sure if it was on stock injectors but anyways, how much boost will i be able to run safely on stock injectors? i will have a fmu and i will have an intercooler to which you can attribute around a 1psi drop in pressure. im not aware of any means of running less boost than the stock wastegate allows but if there is anyway (like changing the spring in the wastegate maybe?) then please let me know. internal wastegates suck

 

You can change the spring on the wastegates. that would be your best option, The guy runing 11.5 psi on stock injectors was HLH0501, Hal, his fuel pressure is set to somthing like 99 psi, with some crazy pump (I forget what). That is an option, but I'd recomend an injector upgrade.

I have run up to 16psi on stock injectors at high fuel pressure.. but do not recommend that. You would be afraid of my a/f

Do yourself a huge favor and before even driving the car at 9.5psi, put in a new fuel pump!! (Walbro GSS342 is a drop in). I found around 6psi my stock fp couldn't keep up anymore

 

With internal wastegates, I don't think you can just change the springs.

 

yeah, i was definetly going to put in a new pump, i neglected to mention that in the original post. i understand how pump pressure relates to injector pressure but i was just unsure of the limits of the stock injectors related to boost. 16psi is crazy, im scared to run that 9.5 as it is lol.

maybe you can find some actuators from a different car that used a t22 and swap the actuators out. can a t22 hold bost on 1.5 liters?

yeah, my t22's came off of my 1990 300zx so they are designed to be not only running off 1.5 liters, but better yet, the vg series engine. they should adapt well to the vq if both can be fit on. yeah, i was thinking of putting actuators from a different car onto them, i dont think it has to be t22's and can be from anything unless im mistaken...
