What steps do you take to clean the throttle body? What parts should I remove and in what order?

 

careful, i fuxored my idle doing this. Best way to do it is to remove the entire TB without disconeecting the TPS and then spray the front and backside with TB cleaner. Try not to move the throttle plate manually.

you may have to do a idle air learning procedure afterwards.

 

I have to do the throttle learning procedure too...IMHO if you'vr been putting premuim gas in the car and punch it to 5000K here and there, the TB won't be too dirty...I cleaned mine at ~27000 miles, and it wasn't too dirty...no noticable diff either...
