back with a vengence

alright sadly fro you folks after about a year of working and doing other things i am back and i guess you'll have to put up with it untill i forget this place existed.

except this times different, i got money.

my cars slowly getting in better and better shape, have gone through 2 alternators and am about to change all the belts and water pump along with the headlight assemblies headlight switch (since its partly burnt out) and stereo.

but i need some real things....i've got almost all the sensors replaced except TPS, Knock and crank angle , i'm working on a CAI made for a acura but i am tired of wwhoping the ricer hondas with a completely stock maxima....the cai should get me into the 180hp range but i got some leads on a few turboed 300ZX parts including ECU and i can grab a turbo for about $20 that my uncle had in his B2200.

times have chenged there seem to be more mods out for these cars, whats the newest in compatable performance for our cars now

180hp with a CAI? Are you serious? Have you baseline dyno'd yet? I think 20hp at the crank from just a CAI is a excessively optimistic, unless you have a bunch of other mods to go with it. Also, unless your going turbo, there is no need to buy a knock sensor since your car doesn't have one. (2nd gen's never got a KS).

20hp out of CAI is waay too optimistic IMO.. even a Ram Setup won't net that much (and it's supposedly push in more air the faster you go)

I'm working out a Ram air setup using the cornering lenses, realized it may not be the best since it's a low velocity area, but is better than having to pluck out the headlight or even cutting out the hood..
