usually companies design their springs to work as a set. not sure what would happen...but i'm going to guess that your handling might be off. one end might be softer than the other...etc.

i forget which my uncle had put where, but when he had the car, he mixed and matched stock height springs and struts..The car handles fine, though it has some flaws around high speed turns because it was wrecked (almost totaled) a couple of years after they bought it..they bought it in '92, and in '94 it was like $120 short of being totaled..unless you know exactly what you're looking for, you'd never know it had ever been wrecked..it was hit in the right rear side..but anyway, you might have some trouble, but I'm not sure..just ignore everything I've said if you want..

you need to pay attention to spring rates when you're doing stuff like that, but it's possible. I personally wouldn't mess with it though, simply because you don't know what kind of handling you're goign to get with the different spring rates. car may be undriveable, it may be perfect (I highly doubt it tho)

As for the bushing, there are sleeves on the inside and outside for the front one. about 3/16" of rubber between the bushing.. in this drawing, the black outer part is the control arm. blue is metal, and the hashed part is rubber.

i wouldn't suggest mixing springs....but like people are saying, there's a chance that it could turn out okay.
if you plan to change the control arm bushings yourself....have fun!
you'll likely have to burn them out.

you'd have a FWD car that looks like a bad RWD setup
