Looks good. For the LED side markers...get some 194 LED bulbs from here: http://autolumination.com/194.htm

That's what I did.

GaMax - I haven't taken off the side markers, so this may be a silly question, but, do those 194 bulbs that you referenced just fit into the slots that the existing OEM side marker bulbs were in, or do those LED bulbs need a different "housing" to plug into? Again, sorry if this is an obvious question, but I figured you could easily tell me, since you have obviously done this mod.

They should slide right in.

Hey, thanks GaMax! One more question, with those amber and red LED's behind the clear side covers, can you see the coloring of the bulbs through the clear lens when the bulbs are off, or are the LED's just clear, too, unless they're on?

The LEDS are clear. They come with a colored base though. I would get the ones that have 6 LEDs in the bulb. I got the single bulb ones and they are alright, but it would be better if they were brighter. You can see the colored bases a little, but you will notice on autoilluminations site you can also buy white bases to replace the colored ones if it bugs you too bad. Honestly its hard to see them through the clear corners though.

GLE2000 - Thanks for the suggestion. Just out of curiosity, are the single LED bulbs that you said could stand to be a little brighter on your car the opaque that give a scattered, softer light or the clear bulbs that give a brighter, more focused light?

I'll bet the bright-white matches up real nice with your glacier white color exterior.

I was wondering if there was a special paint I could spray the clear sides with that came close to matching my titanium paint that was still translucent to let light through from the bulbs and still at least partially reflective. Just thinking about how that would look with a matching color, although I think the clear would probably look better.

On the link to the "how-to", there aren't instructions on the passenger or rear window switches.... in fact, it almost discourages you from attempting. Can you give any insight into the tricks do doing it correctly?

Thanks -

Yes, take your time and watch that you don't lose those tiny ball bearing ***** and that copper "rocker" piece inside the switch. It may take some practice in putting the switch back together. The driver's switch is far the easiest of them all.

Looks good! I did the same, but went a little further and added some blue LED's elsewhere, also....like the guage cluster and under the A/C unit.

I used 3mm Blue 6000mcd LED bought off of ebay for 2.50+S&H for 20 of these bulbs. The seller was mckenkenken. I'll let you know these bulbs are bright, when my security light blink it lights up the car.

If you're going to do the key ring, you'll have to use a resistor, you can pick them up from radioshack color code is Orange, orange, brown, gold. Let me know if you need any help...

I'm also going to try and post some how-tos on the passenger switches.

Check out my homepage. I've got a write-up on all the doors and I was the first one to do the illumination light under the AC controls.

It's really simple. Just remove the A/C unit and remove the clear plastic trim piece where the bulb is. For mine, I left this piece removed from the unit. I then mounted the LED's on a thin plastic strip from some scrap radio trim pieces. I wired the LED's in "series" instead of running a resistor to each and every LED, because when wired individually, the LED's would be too bright at nite. My blue LED's are 5000 mcd's. PM for any other questions you may have.
