Oil Cooler (SC people)
SC people I was just wondering if any of you are running and oil cooler and if so which one????
If not will the supercharger and car be fine without one???
Planning to install my SC next weekend, just wondering if I reallly need an oil cooler now or can I install one at a later date. I already got and tranny cooler and VB mod for my 2000 Auto already done and installed.
thx

Don't worry about getting one right now, just install the SC and see that everything works properly. Important - Make sure that the tranny cooler works properly, my friend blew his tranny cause one of the lines was jammed. Later on if you want to get some extra hp and life out of your SC by runnig colder oil, you can buy Stillen's oil cooler ($325 - I think).
The only reason I didn't get one is because during winter the oil might too cold.

Or you can go to Jegs website and buy that 89.99 one. Its a perma cool rated for 250HP. Theres also another one that summit seels with threaded ends so you can run SS lines, thats going to run you about the same price, except SS lines do cost a bit more.

I spend quite a lot for mine. mine's thermoregulated and uses a stacked-plate oil cooler from serckspeed and aeroquip hose and fittigns.
here's my oil cooler. more pics in my photo albumn,

for SC...it is not required to have an oil cooler. but it is good for your engine and supercharger because you have cooler oil to feed the SC and your oil pressure is reduced.
