90SE ADDCO RSB installer needs help !!!
I just had the chance to install my new ADDCO RSB this weekend and it's, too long by 1.5 inches total. Can you help me determine if it's me or the bar???
STEP 1 - Checked for all parts and correct part number. All parts present.
STEP 2 - Raised rearend of the car with both rear wheels on the car, but not touching the floor.
STEP 3- Checked for placement of new RSB before removing old one.
STEP 4 - Removed old bar and installed new ADDCO RSB with new and old hardware as instructed.
STEP 5 - SCRATCHED MY HEAD. It seems that when the ADDCO RSB is centered the ends and bolt holes do not line up. Instead, the ADDCO RSB extends beyond the "L" bracket by 3/4". Bolts will not fit throught the hole.
I noticed in the instructions that removing the wheels will relax certain points, but I didn't try it. Besides, would removing the rear wheels move control arms outward by 3/4"??? Please tell me if it does or doesn't.
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME????? DID ANYONE ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM??? Thanks in advance.....
(Yes, I'm desperate....I've heard so many good things about this improvement, that I've gotta experience the pleasure, too.)

They are all like this. It is a pain in the *** to install. try to put the endlink screw on it without one of the bushings, tighten it. It should pull the screw through and pull it together. Then undo the nut and put on the bushing.
C'mon....there has to be some other ideas out there !?!?!?
HoJo gave me a good idea. But someone else has to have some other ideas.
I used the "Search" facility on this site, but turned up with nothing. Are there other sites that I could check out?
Will taking off the wheels remove inward preassure and move the control arms "out" by 3/4" on both sides?
C'mon guys...think. Thanks again !!!

your rear susupension has to be with load when you install your RSB. put the rear on ramps or lower the car and have it flat on the ground. if you have an inclined driveway, place the rear tires on the edge of the garage. that will give you some clearance.
when you raise the car off the ground, the wheels move inward at the bottom reducing the width for your rsb.
good luck.

Sorry for the delay, but I just installed it this evening. Installation worked using the load bearing method. Thanks again for the two great suggestions !!!
