The BCDD doesn't control the A/F ratio. It prevents the car from going super rich when you let off the gas pedal.

How do you control Mixture ratio?
Please don't say FICD!!!
Or the Idle adjustment screw.
My car is more than 5% rich according to the ECU.

You think If I got my hands on one of those it would still work for my car?

Im thinking of just taking out the O2 sensor and cleaning it. Adjusting the idle, and fixing all leaks in the intake air tube, getting a new gasket for the Throttle body.

My car had a relapse a week ago with the darkness. So I think the spark plugs might need to be cleaned too. I guess I can do all this when I change the belts this weekend.

It was no big deal. Just a relapse of the TPS. The harness jiggled free. Thats all.

The other stuff is maintenance.

i found a few good parts cars here. an 85 wagon and a 87 non-floater sedan. mabe one will have a adjustable maf

they have all the parts but some of the parts are inside the trunk

my car is running rich, i had adjusted it and the timing to a bad O2 and replaced the O2 but havent set everything back yet so its being funny...

of course my car doesent blow big huge black plumes of smoke that cause carbon deposits on my paint either

edit:

are there just little screwes on the adjustable MAF

the inrichment screw should be ther, on some maf meterrs the screw is covered up by a littel plate just pop that off and it should be ther, and no the screw isn't small its it like the size of a 10mm screw but you use a flat head to ajust it.

another thing i dont recomand cleaning out the O2 sensor. cuzz it might be good and by cleaning it u might contaminate it and kill the O2. it better just geting a new 1.

No oil burning
Im burning power sterring fluid.

I think when I ran rich for so long that I killed the catilytic converter. I don't want to replace it but I might have too. Everything on the engine is good. I just haven't been able to hit the sweet spot and get up to optimal running. It may be because the car is 17 years old.

I want to get a 88 Z31 ECU,injectors, and maybe the maf. Then see how better the car feels from there.

13 min.
It takes that to warm up.
I was trying to adjust it in park but it wont work. I did it in drive and I hope this gets it to ten minutes. Another thing I knew that I needed motor mounts but dang! When I reved the engine the whole motor looked like it was going to jump out of my car. I need mounts bad!

How bad? On the auto's there will be a little bit of crawl for sure....but if it's moving like say 4", then that is pretty bad. When mine was bad, that how far I could get it to move. Now with new mounts, the motor will only move maybe a .5". You might consider filling your mounts with polyurethane though....a much cheaper alternative to shelling out the money for new ones.

Yeah 4" its about that.
I think I may have to do that poly-urethane thing. How long does it take to dry?

Also I was talking to tech support for JWT. Asking about the Cobra MAF,and ecu's,injectors. The guy basically told me to max out my stock injectors and then call JWT.

So ive been batting around the Idea of a CAI box. Just boxing off the where the regular air filter connects to the wheel wail. Aluminum tubing from throttle to the maf to the box with a cone filter.
Why didn't you go for that Maximase86? Seems like it would be a little less problematic.

Just got the O2 from nissan dealer. Now I was thinking since the car won't warm all the way up anymore that the air regulator is bad. I guess I'll try that fix from the stickies.
No more after this. If the car doesn't run after this I don't know what ill do with it. Cant turbo charge a hooptie!

Though your AAV could be bad....I find it hard to believe that a bad AAV would cause your car to not warm up completely. When you say it won't warm up all the way, are you saying you could drive the car for a few hours and it shows as still being on the cold side?

Exactly
I was cruisin around 90mph for about an hour on monday. Then I did some drifting in a huge empty parking lot. The car still read on the cold side. Not all the way cold about a quarter of the way to the right.
I know its not the coolant temp sensor, because my car was running a little hot about three days ago and I added coolant. I think I may just drain a little coolant out till I can get the part out or get a new one.

Something like that makes me think of a thermostat stuck open. I know of a few guys who's 2nd gen always read on the cold side. As long as it is between the 2 inner most marks on the gauge, that should be considered "normal" temperature range. You said though you added coolant. With a stuck open thermostat, you could theoretically run on the hot side, then adding coolant to the normal level put it on the cold side. You might try pulling yours out and testing it. Just put it in a pot of boiling water and see if it opens or not. You might want to inspect to see if it's open already...it should be pretty easy to tell.

Sounds good man.
I don't think its the problem, but it never hurts to check.
It was reading hot for five days then three days ago I added the coolant and it hasn't done that since. It won't. Thats the part that scares me. I drove the hell out of my car, and the temp stayed the same. Maybe your right man. Good call!
