i have noticed when i start my car every morning that when i first start i hear a light engine knock & then it goes away , only happens when car is sitting for more than 7 or more hours & i 1st start it up, anyone have this problem, or know what the problem is???

 

does it almost sound like a rattle? cause when i start my car up when it's cold, i get a rattle coming from the timing chain cover. might be time to change it.

 

It's most likely your timing chain tensioner... I think there is a thread about it in the stickies. Also, there was a thread about it in the last few days, just look back a few pages.

 

def sounds like motor isnt getting any oil sounds like a engine knock
