300zx is the same 3.0L engine as in the maximas??

they're both 3.0s and thats about all the same about them.. however some (very few) parts are interchangable

No you are not right. The Infiniti J30 shares the same engine as a NA 300ZX.

I don't think so because the ZX is RWD and the Max is front wheel drive. Further more the 95 max engine block is made out of Aluminum, so no they are different.
