I noticed that on the stock air intake on my AE, right after the opening and on the left, is an empty bolt hole. A metal clip with threads is there, but nothing else. I've seen other maximas with a wiring harness/coupling or sensor attached at this point. Anyone know what this harness is for that's not on my AE? Traction control related?

 

Yeah I noticed the same thing. Unfortunately don't know what it is??

 

Can you post a picture? That would help, because if somebody has something in their bolt hole they won't know what you are talking about.

 

Sorry, don't have a camera, but I borrowed this pic from punkdork's site. Hope this works. I circled the harness connector/sensor that my AE doesn't have, and the arrow points to the empty bolt hole left on the AE intake tract. Does anyone know what this harness or sensor is for?

 

I think that is a temperature sensor. I think they moved it to another place for the 2k1 models.
