Resetting SES..five hours matter??

I know Im beating this to death guys but I undid the neg terminal for about 4 hours, turned it back on and drove, light is still there, does it require more time?? My car runs fine, except for maybe a very slight slow start off but probably in my head. You guys sure that if it was the MAF I wouldnt be able to go high speeds at all? Just want to make sure and want to save a trip to autozone. Any info would be great.

I just hope it is not the MAF, but from what you guys have said, my car wouldnt be able to go much at all if it was. Thats all that could get affected by wetting the air filter by mistake right? No o2 sensors could get f'ed up or anything?

i unplugged mine for 1/2 hour and the light went out. But mine was an O2 sensor problem. I replaced them and then did the battery and all was well in the Maxima camp.

It sometimes takes like 24 hous. The light will go off by itself if the malfunction does not occur again. It just takes a while. So you don't need to really touch it.. it will go away if there isn't an actual problem.

If the light is still on, that means you still have a problem... get it fixed.
