6 spd vs 5 spd Tranny in 3.5.

The question is, if I have a 6 speed 3.5 on the max.. and I go against a 5 speed 3.5 Altima.. which would be better? The fact that you have an extra gear to switch, and altima has one less gear.. wouldn't that make a difference ? Please someone fill me in on this. Thanks.

Sam

It's going to be all driver. Hypothetically the 6-speed has an advantage because it can get to the sweet spot in the rpm range faster, and shift to stay in it longer, but in reality with real humans driving it's going to be 100% up to the driver.

Did I mention the better driver will win no matter which car he's in?
