Vortech super FMU

As some of you may know my inline pump went dead recently.

I am getting things together for a walbro intank replacement. As many of you already know the new pump will raise my base fuel psi, and thereforce needs a ADJ FPR.

I have been having A LOT!!! of problems with my car lately, and prefer not to mix and match too much if i can avoid it.

As an alternative to the AEM fpr, and fuel rail fittings can the vortech super fmu work with my a stock stillen SC kit, and with the possibility of upgrading to 9 psi?

Has anyone with a maxima even tried the super fmu? Will I need some kind of calibration kit for lets say 8:1 or can the unit be adjusted?

I am guessing a super FMU is different from the FMU that comes with the kit? I have the Vortech pump if you need it.

The super fmu has a built in adjustable Fuel pressure regulator. I am interested in purchasing one so that I can tune the fuel pressure to 32 psi @ idle after upgrading to the walbro fuel pump.....

You have the vortech inline pump? How much are you selling that for (That would be an easy replacement)

Yep, the stock FMU with the SC kit is totally different from the super FMU. The only adjustable part is the disc.
I picked up the adjustable BEGI FMU (Cartech) from Lightning Motorsports in Baton Rouge, LA a month ago. I'll install it after I switch pulleys.

I have not even thought of a price....I will bring it to the meet. Is your car going to be there? If so we can just swap it out to see if it works....i have never used the pump, I went straight to a walbro. When I bought the kit it was said to be in working order and it has 12K on it. If the pump works I will sell it for 30 bux.....and to get back on topic, I know nothing about the super fmu. Also on a side note what should the FP be at idle...right now I am around 26psi.

Org members claim 32 PSI @ idle. I am not sure where they got that number from. They probably measure the psi before and after the walbro swap.....

Cardana, my car probably won't be there. Car is in the shop right now. I ordered a '99 I30 VLSD tranny, and I am waiting for that to come in. While the tranny is being done I would like to get the Scer up and running.

Could you possibly ship the pump to me? Does the pump have all the required accessories?

By all the accessories do you mean wiring? I have some wiring that goes with this setup but I do not know how it works since I have never put it in...I went straight to the walbro. I have the pump that is hooked to the FMU with the stock kit. I figured if you existing pump craped out then you could just plug this one in.
And on the shipping thing: I really hate shipping things. Thats why I never post anything for sale unless there is a meet or it is local. Don't you know anyone in your area that is going to the meet?

I may know someone, but I will probably need to get my hands on the pump sooner than the 31st. I do have all the wiring, but I lost one of those tiny Threads (screw) that holds one of the wires down. Without that screw fuel will escape from the pump.

Come on shipping isn't a big deal..... Just put it in a box and there it goes.

you can get a walbro without changing your fpr. i believe sonicdust has the 190 and its working fine without one. i also have the GSS342 walbro that doesn't require after market fpr. the vorthech SFMU can work with the stillen s/c no problem 9 psi is the highest you can go stock before you run into complications. morpheus17 has the sfmu and i believe he bypassed the stock fpr and it can even ride piggyback if im correct but he should be able to help you.
