Startup issue, MAF and warranty

is our Y2k MAF is cover under emission warranty or nissan extended warranty? I really want to bring it to the dealer and let them replace it, rather than fixing it on my own.

I gathered that more and more people having startup issue with their 5th gen maxima (00-01). The problems could be:
  • 1. Dirty/Clogged injection
  • 2. Dirty TB and fuel system
  • 3. Bad plug due to misfiring
  • 4. Bad O2 sensors
  • 5. MAF Failing
  • 6. Bad coil/s

Those are the common issue that people find out from their car.
I am not expert correct me if I am wrong
Any thought?

whoa! U posted this thread back in July and not a single response???

Anyways... im pretty sure that the Emission warranty wont cover the MAF... I remember reading this on another post a few weeks back..
Im not sure about Nissan's extended warranty covering it... cuz i dont have Nissan's ext. I have ext warranty thru AAA which a lotta people recommended... so far i didnt have to touch it at all.. my dealer is taking good care of me!

I was at the dealership today to get my power window switch bezel replaced and the Service Rep replaced it for me in 2 mins with a smile as always! I wish u were close by man! I would tell u to go see him...

So i asked him about MAFs cuz the 3.5s r very sensitive and cause them to blow... so he said now u can get the sensor itself for $110, u no longer have to get the housing it used to come with... with the housing it used to be $468 + installation + reprogramming!!!

Anyways... good luck pal!

Your car has ED. Well, that was my offensive comment for the day.
