Y-Pipe Noise?

I installed my Cattman y-pipe a few weeks ago and have been noticing that I get a lot more engine noise. I am not talking about the change in exhaust note, but an increase in engine noise. I dont think I am making it up either. If I am driving next to a wall and give it some gas, there seems to be a lot of a... Racket. This is only under load, so if I just rev the engine in neutral it sounds nice.

When installing the pipe I did shear a bolt off of the front EM/ pre-cat connection, but there was enough of the bolt left to get another nut on and crank it down, so I dont think it is that.

It sounds like there is a slight rattling with this noise aswell and I dont think it is knocking. I know it sounds like I may be answering my own question, but when I was putting a new nut on the front pre-cat I noticed that one of my O2 sensors had come loose and I dont think I remembered to crank that down. So the rattle could be comming from there.

Anybody else experience an increase in engine noise (not exhaust) with the installation of a y-pipe?

Not a squeak. I had a shop install it though, and they didn't report any difficulties in install aside from having to lengthen wires for the 02 sensors. Hmm. Even though its a pain, you may wanna r/i again and make sure you go over everything meticulously...

I have a warpspeed y-pipe and am experiencing some noise, but i'm pretty sure it's some heat sheild which i couldn't remove, hopefully that's the problem, and hopefully i'll be able to take care of it when my car goes on a lift for suspension work

A few buddies and me installed my Budget y-pipe last week. I already had a custom cat back installed. Once that baby was on, my car now sounds like a BEAST. No knocking, just *****. Maybe it's the brand?
