OBD 2 scan tool or software recommendations

Anyone have any recommendations for an inexpensive way to puchase OBD 2 software or scan tools? Any brand recommendations and links would be appreciated.

auterra on Ebay is pretty good. I use it on my Maxima quite often. It works on all OBDII cars and only displays info for engine codes and some tranny codes too. Refresh rate on a 4th gen is soo slow that I would not recomend using this for live data stream from the engine. 5th gens rock with the 32bit ECUs. Using a Palm pilot U can clear check engine lights and look over different parameters of the engine. I work at a Acura dealer and this little gizzmo can show more codes than our Honda PGM tester- basically our scan tool. Nissan scan tool is called Consult. ConsultII can reprogram ecus etc... its a killer scan tool with a printer- I know cause I used to be a tech at Nissan when 5th gen and Consult II came out.
