i just had a few questions on the "ghetto" intake

---will it make a huge difference in the performance and sound of the engine as the same as stillin intake??...i want a little deeper roar.

---why does the check engine light come on after you put it in ??

---have you thought up anything different then the duct tape?? like can i use a 3 inch or so rubber spacer from sears ?? >>> could be good...

Thanks guys

The sound will be much like the Stillen but not quite as loud.

The check engine light should not turn on if you install it correctly.

Yes you can use a large washer or some chemicals. But then it wouldn't be cheap and ghetto now would it.

I love how ppl refer to my custom mods as ghetto, but hey beat my mod for $20.

I seen something on Ebay thats called an Intake adapter for Altimas and the Max. Is this the thing to use to bolt on the filter? Instead of taking the thing out of the air box can I just but that thing? its like $15

I'm going to have to check it out. I found an ractive heat shield filter on ebay for $25 with shipping. I used brianV way. I works well. I am looking for the adapter. Nice growl. Interestingly enough, my check engine light didn't come on. I don't know if that had anything to do with the fact I disconnected the battery.

Just did the intake today. Noticed it was alot louder but not quie deep tone as I was hoping. I am still wondering about using that adapter thing from ebay. Another question is that now will it be sucking in hotter air?
