talking lady from a 2nd gen

Hi Guys,

here is a post from the 1st and 2nd gen talking about a talking lady as a voice instead a chime like our cars have,

Ok, here you guys go!

Key is in the ignition, lights are on
http://www3.telus.net/vhead/photos3/MOV00402.wav
Left door is open
http://www3.telus.net/vhead/photos3/MOV00405.wav
Parking brake is on
http://www3.telus.net/vhead/photos3/MOV00406.wav

Right door is open I didn't bother with, same as left except she says right, and fuel level is low I didn't get because I never run it that low. Enjoy!

enjoy guys,

Thats pretty cool. Did you say some guy has it on his 1st or 2nd gen?? Or was it just a thought. That would be pretty cool, but would probably require some sort of soldering skills to link the warning lights to a computer voice, using the energy for the light as a switch for the correct sound clip. Great idea, i thought some Cadilacs had this feature already?

The first and second generations came with them (or some did anyways) my brother has a 87 GXE and it had the talking lady but i got rid of her. she gets annoying after awhile.
I just ran new speaker wires for the drivers door incase he misses her he just has to switch a couple wires around.

That's kind of a neat old school 80s thing. A friend of mine had an 80s Mitsubishi Starion that was like that. Everything on it was digital and there was a lady that said "your door is ajar" and some other sayings like the 2nd gen Max had.

I'd change it around from *****in' Betty to Gansta something... scare some people or something.

"Your door is open *****' ****a'!"
"Get some gas *****!"
"Turn off the lights *****!"
"You forgot your key ****a'!"

Ok... maybe not...

The talking lady came with my 3rd GEN. The manufacture date is 9/89. The lady use to say the the door is open and stuff. We had to get that ladied shut up, so they disconnected the wire. the taped up harness is still hanging down next to the fuse box......

.....hehe, thats the first thing that I thought of, Jeff.. good stuff. "Say man.......yo' lights iz on... WTF, you deaf and blind....I said yo' lights iz on!" Thats classic. When I was a lil kid, a neighbor had a damn talking Chrysler K car.. The voice on that car was really stupid though, not as pleasant as the Nissan chick.... I would assume that it does get annoying in time, though
