CD ERR F3, non-Bose system

I happened to be cleaning my car and I hit the eject button once, the cd came out, then hit it again while cleaning and it made a horrible clicking sound. Playing around with it I got a CD in to play, but now it will not eject the CD and makes a horrible clicking sound, along with giving a "CD ERR F3" error when trying to eject. Anyone else experience this problem? If so, is it fixable? If not, do you recommend installing a factory stereo, or go with a 3rd party? I personally haven't been all that happy with non-factory CD players (too small, not enough buttons, and look futuristic).

I have a 2002 Maxima SE (if that would matter).

PS--Where's the best and cheapest place to find a factory or equivalent manual to work on this car?

I've seent this problem twice. Once when it would not read a CD I burned and the other was when the CD mechanism jammed and I was eventually forced to replace the unit...
