Can I fix this for $1500?

Insurance company would give me a $1500 check to fix the car. ($2000 - deductable). The rim was a little dinged but not to the point of needing replacement and the tire I can get replaced for free. I don't currently have the car in my possesion so I can't look at it real good right now. The door still opens and closes fine. I'm just worried about the fender and how bad the damage is behind it by the door. The bumper is fine.

looks like all you need is a fender and a wheel. An aftermarket fender from the koreans is about 35 bucks. The door can be repaired. A wheel is ???

And paint. Looks like you can come out with a few extra bucks. The bumper looks fine

Don't forget the mirror. Take the money. Get z3 fenders, m3 mirrors, fix the door, one new rim and paint and that will put you right at $2K. You'll make out of the deal with two good mods. Always use accidents as excuses to mod.

if I see the door correctly, you will spend at least $900 to fix and good paint job. ya should get and estimate for all the repair first, also check the axel

Yep, if the Ins. company is supposed to cover all of it in this case then you're supposed to get an esitmate from a reputable company or one they recommend first. Then the way it works is 99% of the time the bodyshop's estimate is higher than the Insurance agent's estimate, so they have to get in contact with each other to work out the details.

Don't take the money they offered just yet, wait until you get an opinion from the people who will actually be doing the work. That said, the damage does look in the realm of $2g's, but better safe then sorry.

Good luck, dealing with insurance companies is almost always a b*tch when they have to dole out money.
