I have a 96. When the car is in drive with the brake applied at a stop sign my rpm idles very low 500rpm (sounds a little rough). After I drive it 10 minutes the idle rpm goes up to 750 and seems fine. Any suggestions?

 

i dunno i got a similar problem but it never goes up its alway low in gear

 

Hey mine does that too!! 96'

 

Start basic and clean the throttle body. I used to come to complete stop and idle would dip dangerously low... After cleaning the tb, I don't get erratic idle anymore.

Play with the ECU reset screw, until you get it it about 900 RPM in N if you're auto. And 750-800 in gear.

 

Mine will run all the way down to 500 rpm sometimes, seems pretty normal... usually its around 700
