Where is the manual tranny drain bolt at?? The only think i see at the bottom of the tranny is a Flathead type screw. I unscrewed a bolt near the fill plug, but only a little bit of fluid came out. Please help!!

Stop me if I'm wrong ( and I might be), but manuals have tranny fluid? They didn't used to did they? Mine has a hydro. clutch that has fluid, but the tranny?

the gear fluid drains through a 14mm bolt - follow the support rod to the tranny, and it sits in between the two bolts where it attaches to the case. The bolt is positioned parallel to the ground

Crap, is this something that we need to drain and or check the level on regularly? I haven't ever checked mine, whats the recommendation?

Check in the FLUIDS forum, that's why it's there.

I believe its a 12mm bolt way at the back of the tranny and there is a metal piece to the side of it that makes it hard to take off with a socket set. I had to use a wrench because a socket couldnt fit in. Correct me if i'm wrong.

I drain tranny by the means of unplugging reverse position sensor.

You gotta be very careful when doing this because the sensor is very delicate, plus you might also get a leak. I replaced my sensor at the same time that I changed to redline mt90 gear oil.

You do know that there is a fill plug too right??? You can just pour the fluid in from the engine bay with a funnel.

The fill plug is about 2/3 way up the trans case facing the front of the car and the drain bolt is at the bottom of the trans facing the firewall. FLUIDS and LUBRICANTS forum has the pics abd everything you'll need to know.
