new proud owner of an 02 SE

hey guys, it's been awhile since i've posted on here, but i'm back.... with an 02 silver SE auto. i just picked it up for 16,500 with 35k miles on it. chances are, i might've found a 6-speed if i looked very long and hard around here, but the VQ35 seems to have plenty of power to have fun with nonetheless. it's nice to be driving a maxima again and move back from the f-body. now, i just need to consider mods....

Nice pick up. The first mod has to be clear lenses. That was my first mod on my 02 se that I got used.

thanks for the props guys. i'm not sure what my first mod will be actually. i'm guessing an intake sounds about right though. i guess i'll have to start looking into which parts are best for this year/style max....

Congrats, in my area its tough to find an 02/03 and my dealer said when he gets them in they usually sell within a few days. Overall I think the 02/03's are the best Maximas.

thanks, they actually had another GLE for the same sticker price. the salesman said the main sales guy wouldn't budge on the price though since it's a GLE. i figure if i want leather and woodgrain trim, i can buy it anyways either way, this maxima drives wonderful. of course, i went from driving a 94 camaro to this. however, the car is very smooth and the power from the VQ35 is great. after reading posts, i think some cattman headers/catback will be a good purchase!

Congrads on your buy. I think that you'll find that even the auto has plenty of get-up-and-go.
