Hi Flow Catalytic Converter

if i install just a cat on my car will it make the exhaust any louder? im not looking for any noise.i found one for cheap so i might want to buy it.

Is your stock one bad? If not why bother? It won't be louder but might be a bit raspier. When you say you found one cheap you don't mean the ones on ebay do you? Those aren't even cats.

ya its the s-tune one from ebay. do u know where i can get a used turbine rim for my 96 i30 for cheap?

I would hazard a guess and say that a hi-flow cat will be louder than your stock cat. I run the stock cat or a test pipe and in that case there is an obvious increase in sound volume due to the fact that there is NO restriction in that section now. I would think a hi-flow cat has less restriction and less restriction = more sound.
