Mod a B&M short shifter

I have a 02 maxima 6 speed. Does anyone think it is worth it to buy the B&M shifter for the Altima/Sentra 6 speed and mod it to fit the reverse lock on the Maxima?

its not just the reverse lock

the altima/sentra have the old school tranny,

where as ours is the newer tranny with the cable actuated shifter

which means you cant use that sts for it
