Low HP # for Supercharger??
Low HP # for Supercharger??
Hey, I just recently got my car supercharged and was dissapointed with the results. I have the V1 kit, cattman y-pipe, and 2.5" exhaust. My dyno run showed 202.2 hp and 187.3 tq. I thought that with my current set up i should be making more power. Not anything ridiculously high, but i thought maybe more around 230-250. I noticed on the dyno it showed my A/F dropped significantly after 4000 rpms. I'll attatch the dyno if i can. Any help on what may be wrong or what i can do to get the most out of the supercharger would be appreciated.

there's obviously something wrong, but the car doesn't have any leaks and still runs fine. The A/F starts on the graph at about 15:1 and at 4500 rpms drops off the chart, below 10:1. I haven't been getting much feedback on other sites as to what the best method for gaining more power with this set up would be. I've been reading the threads on here, but there's so many options and im not sure which one is best for what im trying to accomplish...

The V1 has a smaller internal gear ratio than the V2 so that my account for a less power between them due to the lower boost even with the same pulley size.
But yes, it is running very rich... use a smaller pulley

You may want to check the disc, and perhaps drop it to 6:1. The 8:1 is too high unless you've upgraded the pulley which it doesn't look like you have. The AFC may not have enough adjustment range to get that A/F up where it needs to be.
Almost as bad as when I first put in my 370's and the emanage wasn't working right, I dyno'd 91 whp on the first pull

I was running that rich as well....I was going off the chart at about 3.5K though...but I still put down 27x hp (3.125 pulley).....you could possibly have a boost leak ontop of running way rich

Fix your A/F problem there and you'll probably gain 40-50hp.

Also, what size injectors do you have?
S-AFC is a tool for fine tuning, and will likely not be able to cope with gross overload such as seen here. You've got to find an alternate way, possibly a 6:1 disc, to dial back how much fuel is being dumped.
