Wow, can't shift, and clutch pedal stuck!

This is basically an update on this thread:
http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=334182

This morning, I found that I couldn't shift into any gear at all (clutch fluid level is again confirmed to be good, clutch is fairly new). Not only that, but now the clutch pedal is stuck all the way down, and it does not disengage the clutch (even down). So basically the pedal is useless.

So I had to drive the thing to the dealer...but how?
Lol, this is extremly gettho, but I turned off the car, put it into the gear I wanted (say reverse), and turned the car on, immediatly giving it some gas.
When I got to stop lights, I had to turn off the car, otherwise it was going to stall out anyways.

Well, the car is at the dealer (still don't know how I got it there), and I am completly at their mercy....this ba-lows

Any rough estimates on what you guys think this place is going to tell me is wrong? I have some scary ideas, but I am hoping for the best here.

Oh, btw, the Nissan dealer just opened a week ago, so the service people are pretty much "green" (aka they were semi-nice)

For searching purposes I'll put down what the problem was.

Turns out I needed a new master and slave cylinder. It very well could have been the hose problem (http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/802), but in that case I would be leaking fluid. There was no leaking fluid, and my resvoir was filled.

Anyways, $470 later I'm all fixed.

Clutch problem

You definitely have a master and/or slave cylinder problem. More than likely its the Master cylinder not working properly. I had the same problem a few months ago on my Maxima and I had my mechanic check it out. Turned out I had a leak in the hydrolic hose that connects directly to the slave cylinder AND the master cylinder wasn't working (the fluid stayed in the reservior). I only spent about $130 on parts and paid my mechanic a few bucks to intall it. You can change the master cylinder yourself pretty easily....no need to take it to the dealer. They're gonna charge you up the @$$! Good luck!
