Reset ECU last night - something not right

I left the battery unplugged over night. The SES light went out, the engine sounds the same, but the transmission is not running correctly. Nissan tells me that the tranny is connected to the eletrical system / ECU. Is this correct?

same problem

I also reset my light. But it came back the following week.

I went to nissan and found out it was a bad MAF. Syptom, shifting (automatic) was all over the place and harsh too.

They replace MAF (Mass Air Flow Sensor) and wow, good as new!

Good Luck,
-Anthony

Nissan charges you an arm and a leg to install it! Do it yourself and just have them calibrate it for you.

What year Maxima do you have? All you have to do is remove the old MAF and put in the new one. You don't have to reset the ECU.

"not running correctly" is not a definition of a problem. Please try again.
