Hey Here's a question! I've seen a lot of new lights
that gave a Blue tint. But i'm looking for a light purple tint. Some thing different. Anybody know where I can get them?
Also Shouldn't I use the Spec. that Nissan owners manual says (bulb NO.9004-wattage 65/45)If not what else would be safe to use. -Peace!!

Currently, there aren't any bulbs that put out purple light >>
There are ony bulbs that are blue, white or yellow.
9004 is the type of bulb, as long as the bulb you are using is a 9004 or HB1, then it fine. But, I would suggest sticking to something that has the DOT certification printed on the base. 45/65 is the wattage the bulb puts out. Do not attempt to use the higher wattage bulbs without modifying your wiring and connectors or you risk burning them.

Check out ebay, in the lighting section. They have some purple lights
An import shop by me carried bulbs that were basically the purple tint instead of blue, they were made by piaa, very limited supply, and only for the hondas ( i forgot the headlight number) they ran for like $80 but they really looked good and better then all the other HID look alikes
The purple tinted bulbs from PIAA are called Super Plasma's. They currently only come in one bulb size which I forget what size that is exactly but it's the same size as the 2000 Max's. The bulb puts out a VERY nice color however, Im told by a few people who have them that visibility suffers horrible. Pure cosmetic upgrade, but well worth it if your into that. If they should come out with our size bulb I plan on purchasing the higher wattage to hopefully help out with the visibility.

Piaa palsma are offered in the U.S. in only 2 sizes ,H4 and 194{wedge}. In Japan they seem to make them in just about every size. Another words have them imported from Japan or retrofit the H4's in your headlight hoseing.
Speaking of purple bulbs, I got myself a pair of 9004 100/80w Matrix Purple Show bulbs and they emit a purplish/pink color. It is similar to the PIAA Super Plasma's, but the thing is that it emits more purplish/pink color than the PIAA's. PIAA Super Plasma's have that purplish/pink look at a certain angle. Yea, the Matrix Purple bulbs look kinda cool, just cuz it's different than the Hyper White color. It looks funny if I have these bulbs on while my corners, sidemarkers, and turn signals are hyper white. I think I would have to change it all to purple if I wanted to make these Matrix bulbs look phat. For some reason, I think these bulbs are worse than my 100/80w Eurolite Hyper Whites.
I can't see a damn thing with the purple bulbs if its raining. I think my Eurolites are slightly better in the rain, but the best bulb for any type of bad weather would probably be your normal stock halogen bulb. I'm not sure what the difference is between the Phillips Blue Visions and a normal stock halogen bulb. Can someone elaborate on that? Anyway, I wonder how do the 9004 100/80w Matrix Green Show bulbs perform, because I'm sure it's probably similar to Hyper White. Has anyone ever tried the Green bulbs and are they any better than Hyper Whites?
But yea, i agree... anything that has some sort of color tint on the halogen bulb will decrease the amount of light, since you are filtering and blocking out some of the colors that the yellow light gives off.
