Any pics of "molded" dash kits installed??
Any pics of "molded" dash kits installed??
Interested in the aluminum and CF, or a dark wood like cherry...have seen the diagrams but that doesn't give me a very good idea of how they look installed...thanks in advance
i have the alum one... it is sweeeet... forget the regular dash kits... i bought a regular dash kit and hated it, pretty much wasted my money. Nissan designed their console where it bumps out so when u use a flat one, it just looks like its missing pieces... the molded ones are really worth the money...
how do you take the "wood' trim off the door panels for a molded dash kit? i just have the wood trim on the 4 arm rests on the doors, but i dont know how to take that off to get the black marble wood that i want.

I have a flat kit, and I get compliments on it all the time. Much less $ than the molded kits, too..

no pics sorry... soon... the project max will be ready... hehe... anyways, take it off using a blow dryer to warm up the adhesive and slowly pull... the only reason i didnt like the flat pieces is because most of the pieces (console and door piece) are not flat but rise a little. Those pieces looked funny when the sides are still gray while the face is silver. I found that my vent pieces and shifter pieces looked nice, it was just the main console was frsutrating me...
Molded dash kits

Flat dash kits
This is something I'm adamant about. If you see them in person, flat ones look horrible. You can totally tell it's just stuck on top. Molded ones "look" like they came factory and "look" like actual replacements. Costs alot more, but worth it IMHO.
Also, afaik there are no black marble molded kits. Closest thing is black cherrywood or somethin' like that...
