I remember turbo magazine had an altima they modded with an electric supercharger. Problem was IIRC they had to add an extra battery to the car because of all the juice it sucked up. For the power numbers it gave, it didnt justify the price one bit, it was over $2k.

I believe Thomas Knight makes an electric supercharger...from what I recall its the real deal, its used for 15 seconds at a time, like NOS or the equivilent. I doubt the $2K+ price tag justifies its still relatively small gains.

Who knows, It may be a more cost-effective option than a real belt-driven supercharger...I mean, the cheapest I have found those was around 3-3.5K way too much for my current budget :-/. But they are supposed to be pretty effective.

If you wanna go fast and on a budget get Nitrous... Spend a good $700 and it'll have pretty much the same effect as the electric supercharger... just much cheaper.

I have one, it sounds like a hair dryer when I go WOT.......but it's only at 6.3psi. My boost controller acts up every now and then, but I seem to be azz raping when I street race 4 deep. The baseball bats dont do too good though. I was disappointed when I bought those from Stillen.
