i have a 99 cali spec and the knock sensor is bad . has any else replaced it in the cali spec. i was hoping i wouldnt have to take off the manifold to do it. the swirl control vacuum tank is preventing me from doing the bloody stump method. i have the nissan service manual on the car and it only tells how to diagnose the problem not fix it. any help is appreciated

i wish i could do it but im not good unda the hood. my mechanic said $200-$250 to fix it, does anybody know someone in southcoast mass that can do it for cheaper???
