Add Sub to factory bose system...

Ok, Ive searched google for awhile and since the search function for the forums is down, I havent been able to find any info. How hard is it to Either A. Replace the factory bose Sub with an aftermarket one, or to add a amp/sub to the factory system. If anyone has any info I would greatly appreciate it!

God I hate Bose proprietary connectors. Is there any wiring diagrams for which wire goes to what so I can tell if its possible to splice the wires feeding the Bose amp / or woofer and use them for a simple install of my own current amp/sub (JL audio). Grrrr....

hmmmm, there is a cheaper and better solution, been selling these for about 3 years now. They work great. Have one in my own personal 2000 Maxima w/ Bose.

I took out the factory sub and made a plate to go in the old hole where the factory sub was. I used a Rockford Fosgate 8" dual voice coil pro sub with a rockford fosgate 250 watt mono block amp. looks stock and doesn't take any trunk room

How does it sound? Does it give you enough thump? I mean, can you actually feel the bass or is it just hearing the bass like with the factory sub? I know its hard to quantify how something sounds without listeneing to it...
