does anyone have any mods they made to the front license plate holder? I'm talking about the chunky black ugly plastic piece.

Is there any other way to mount the license plate in a cleaner way?

 

i think the only mod would be to remove the holder from your bumper. Mine came with it on the front but i got that thing off of there

 

I put it in my window with suction cups where the screws go

 

I had a couple of left over pieces from my B&M Supercooler tranny cooler that I used to mount the license plate. They were 2 mounting brackets with several predrilled holes down the middle. I think they were like about 6" in length. I took my vise grips, bent them to conform to the shape of the opening and then spray painted them black. Because my license plate came with the dealer's plastic holder I just bolted it up to the last hole of the bracket. This setup allows me to keep my mesh insert in one piece.
