New tail lights for my 95!

I decided to switch back to my stock tails after having altezzas on. I was happy with my altezza until I started to come home and had to look at this beautiful Maxima rear end. I've tried to find some paint locally to tint the orange and clear, but I can't find any.

*golf clap*

That looks like EBP (Electron Blue Pearl) paint from the '99-'00 civic Si's.

Are you looking for the paint to paint the orange part red? I got mine at Wally World, in the model section. Testor's Translucent candy apple red and also get the clear gloss paint for the clear coating. Do at least 4 coats of the red, then at least 2 coats of the clear.

do you guys take the tails apart to paint them, or just go over the top of the lense?

I'll let you hink about that one for a while. How would painting the inside red make the outside red if the lens in the middle is still amber?

Dude, my sister saw your car up in traverse city a while back. She was up there with her boyfriend and she called me and said "Neal I just saw a maxima identical to yours except it was blue!" She said it had gunmetal wheels with a polished lip, exhaust, etc. I was thinking of posting up seeing if it was anyone here, but it looks like it was yours. I'm in Kalamazoo.

Don't worry dude. Just go to wallmart and get a can or two of testors transparent candy apple red paint, #1605, that should do the trick. I'll be doing my second set of tails next week.

I want to tint the entire top part, not red but dark like window tent. I've checked at paint stores and auto stores and haven't been able to find any paint that will work yet. The blue Maxima is my dad's, it is Hyndai Blue.

I want my tails to look like DAVE Sz, on his newer max.

Here is a pic. It is dark out, so it is hard to see too well

does walmart sell a tint paint that i can just tint the clear and amber the same color? cause i'm not too crazy about having the red L shape and the clear lense. i would rather just smoke the top lenses completely, and i'm looking for a place to buy the paint that isn't online.

Testor's has a tint spray but it's a POS, turns green/blue. I'd stay away from VHT niteshades too and get VHT tint spray instead, has a wet/slick look to it.
Btw, that pic is photochopped, I still have my un-modded stockers on.
