full service on my brake system... what fluid to buy??

This weekend im having my boy(mechanic) swap out one of my rear calipers thats seized, the fluid drained and all 4 stock brake lines changed to Stillens SS lines. My question is what fluid would you guys reccomend? I do alot of daily driving and want to get that nice firm pedal feel back.

thanks,

Ant

ok im a total ***.. i totally forgot there is a fluids and lubricants forum on here, hehe!

i just read that ATE Superblue fluid is good... any others? I was thinking synthetic since my original fluid has been in the car for over 130,000 miles and maybe synthetic would do me good?

and how much do i need to flush the system out completely?

If you buy 1 can, it'll be more than enough. I bought 2 cans and used about 1/2 of one of them (and I have ABS).

I'm about to upgrade the brakes on my car as well, and was wondering what the best fluid to use.

I was recommended Motul RBF 600 (DOT 4) but I'm not planning to replace it until my next brake job. I'm still running with OEM fluid.

In the manual it says 4th gens should use DOT 3. Is it ok to run DOT 4?

DOT 4 fluid exceeds DOT 3 specs and both are glycol based.
