My car is just weird and craZy....
I really need some help here. Alright, I'll start with the facts first. I have a 95' Max GLE, with... 125,000 miles (it hurts me everytime I say that). I've posted something about my problem, but it wasn't really resolved, so I'm going all out now hoping to find a solution. Okay, here it goes...
My car accelerates faster than other times, and say ... I'm in third going 35, and I want to pick it up real quick and go fast, I step on the gas, and nothin seems to happen, it doesn't switch gears it just accelerates really slow in the gear that its in. So I step on it some more, and more and it finally switches into 2nd. Now I'll go more into detail...
It seems the longer the periods I drive my car, the slower it gets, and it starts to get really annoying. Some say the engine heats up, but it just doesn't feel right, something seems to be wrong. It sounds slower too, like the grumble of the engine becomes more spaced out after I have driven it for a while. Here is something I noted today...
I left my car in the parking lot while I was at school today, and it was in the shade, for about 6 hours. So I take my friend home, and I notice the slowness starts to act up. So I get to my house, then set back out after about 25 minutes. After driving for a while (about 30 mins), my cars seems really sluggish, and I wasn't even driving that aggressively. So later on in the day, about 7:00, I go to work out, and the drive there is tolerable. I park and I come back an hour later, and my car feels fast now all of a sudden, so I took advantage of this and drove around some for some fun.
I just had the fuel filter changed a week ago, and it had an oil change about a month ago. What in the world is doing this to my car!! Please, somebody help me so I can drive my Max to its fullest extent.

It could be your driving style. The computer has adaptive logic. If you drive aggressively, it shifts aggressively. If you spend a while driving easy, it wont shift as fast when you jump on it the first time. If you drive pretty hard most of the trip, it will stick with the more aggressive shift map.
I think...
I think...
Well...
Even if I drove slow, or fast after i've been driving slow or fast I can still notice the sluggish-ness. This is really depressing... I love my car, but this is annoying me, and I just want to make sure everything is ok with it.
