My friend who works at a car-mod shop was lowering an SE max
for someone. He has a wholesale license so he checks the sku number for the tokico blues hes about to order and it turns out that the Sku is exactly the same as the SE shocks-stock! He tells the person lowering the max that the stock SEs are actually identical to the blues!Could it really be true? Perhaps this is why people never seem to complain about their shocks fading after they lower their max using springs only even after 50k miles!!?

someone correct me if Im (my friend is)wrong cuz i dont wanna end up messin up my shocks when i lower the car

i am running factory shocks. if you look on the side of your front shock houding you will see the words TOKICO printed in it. is there chance that maxes come with toks from factory?

Nissans come with Tokicos. Aftermarket Tokicos have 10% higher dampening rates. Just about all aftermarket struts/shocks have higher dampening rates to compensate for wear in the suspension.

Hmm interesting, well Tok does make a lot of stock shocks for cars, but I would imagine they would buffen the insides of the blues up. I have over 30K on mine and they arne't blown yet, a bit soft but not blown. I doubt they're the same, but then again I could be wrong.

Are they the same SKU or same Tokico part number? There's a difference.

I think he said sku, maybe im wrong. but either way, he told the guy lowering his car that they were the same! And he does order them wholesale directly from Tokico. Its not too unbelievable considering the max SE DOES have diff "upgraded" shocks from GXE/GLE. Too good to be true?
Why sould SKU matter? Isnt the fact that the SE and blues match already evidence? or just coincidence?
