87 Maxima Shut Off switch?

Anyone know where the "fuel shut off switch" or "emergency shut off switch" is on an 87 Maxima? My car won't start after overheating and someone told me to try that. Thanx

Hmmmm, it won't crank over, or does it crank but just not fire up? How bad did the car overheat? I wouldn't be surprised if you blew out a head gasket if it had been overheating for a while.

It cranks, just doesn't fire. Oil is clean, fuel to injectors from pump good. New plugs.

If fuel is getting to the injectors then the fuel cutoff switch hasn't been tripped and is not the problem. You need to find out why it isn't firing...or if it isn't just firing out of time, etc...

Check wires, distr. cap., rotor, timing like the guy before said. Also, was your car running before all this happened? If so what did you/it do afterwards.
