yes i want to get rid of all my bose speakers, because all of them are just starting to die out on me one by one. i want a nice interior set that sounds cleaner and louder than bose but not that costly. what should i get. i do really need that much bass since i have a 12inch sub in the back thanks

I have MB Quart components up front and they sound awesome....these run around $300 or $400 a pair. In the back I have some JL 3 way's which provide great high's but not as much mids...these ran around $150 a pair.

Yeah the MB's are money...but the JL's aren't bad. And they definitley provide some great highs and clarity. That's probably what I would recommend if you are on a budget.

Look into crystal mobilesound csc60s
Very comparable to CDT's and are in your budget for 150.

Its funny that no one brought up Infiniti Kappa speakers. Since I dont have personal experience with them I am just going off of what I have heard. Is there a reason no one really favors them?

Who sells CDT? I just ordered a 6.5" speaker pod so I can upgrade my puny 4x6's Bostons that I currently have up front. I was going to go with Bostons again...but if CDTs are cheaper, then I'll get them instead.

VR is the middle range of the JL Audio line of mid-range and component speakers. I have the XR series all around and am extremely pleased with their performance, but they aren't exactly inexpensive.

No I got the XR's...they sound pretty good but I have them powered off the Alpine deck so not much is expected.

polk audio

A friend of mine went all out with Polk Audio's in his car with Kicker amps. IMO it was incredibly loud and crystal clear but I'm not sure which grade of Polk speakers he went with. I've tried to look for them but all I find now are their MOMO line of speakers. Does anyone know more about Polk Audio? They sounded great and he always said they didn't really need much power to push them.

My CDT's are amazing, they finally sound how I want them to. Running off an amp with sound deadened doors = beautiful, crisp, and clean. And I think I got em for like 150 shipped.

Contact this guy on Instant Messenger for CDTs, he has the best prices. Just tell him that dynamit0711 told u about him. Compare to www.thezeb.com which has very good prices, I got ef-61cf that cost almost $420 for $205 shipped.

CDT's rock... I have them. You should've asked me at the Douglaston meet and I would've played them for you.

I don't mean to hijack the thread, but my question is very similar. What company should I look to that has good bass? I don't have the money to go for a full system, just replace the interior speakers. I'll be running off of the stock headunit as I don't need a CD player, I use my iPod via tape adapter. I would be willing to buy an amp as long as everything costs under $500.

One last question:If I were to install them myself, does anyone know of a write-up on how to install the front door speakers? Thanks in advance.
