Could not believe the price!!!

I know the moderator may move this thread and thats fine if seen fit. But i live in north jersey and i am looking for a 95-99 maxima to use as my winter car. ------ point being is that i see one for sale on a side street that has been parked for about a month now with a for sale sign. I call the guiy up and ask him the info and all and he absolutly blew my mind with what he told me --- $6000 for a 97 AUTO with get tihs 198,500 miles!!!!!!!! I was like this guy is nuts and i was like no seriusly how much and he wasnt joking. ALL i could do was laugh and i told him to give me a call if he wants to sell for a 1/3 of his price.
Can you believe that???

Yah, thats the same price around here too. Granted the miles are high, but its definatly worth way more than 2000.

199000+ miles on my '99...you'd better pull out more than 6G's if you wanna buy it.

That's a fair price...

My 93 has 216,000 miles on it, and I won't even think about selling it for less than $25,000.
(then again, I've got $40k+ invested in it. )

If you don't think it's a good price, turn and walk away. he doesn't have to sell the car at a price you think it's worth. someone is willing to buy it at that price. If not, then it's his problem, not yours.

That seem about right, It's a lot but it does hold it resale value good for that age and mileage. At least it's a Nissan.

The price seems a little high, but not exceedingly so. I think the kbb private party value is still going to be around $4-5k, maybe higher. You didn't say if it was a GXE, SE or GLE and if it has leather or other options like that.

I think that the price is high for its miles regardless of the car's trim level. Look around, late 4th gens with under 100K mi are being sold for like 7 grand. Just look for smthg else.

Thats what i was thinking cause even though many think its a good price i have def seen others with alot less miles and for a less price as well. i was just shocked, and didnt realize that they held their worth that much even with almost 200K on it

Thats not a good deal you were right to walk away. We all know that they may last longer than that but to buy a max from someone with that many miles for that amount is moronic.
