dash kit for aftermarket H/U

I have a 02 Max ... i ordered an aftermarket head from cardomain.com. It came with the Scosche dash kit. many people suggested it. when i tried to put it in there is a large gap between the bottom of the trim included with the kit and the climate control panel. there is ABSOLUTELY no room for the trim kit to fit between the top of the aftermarket HU and the center vents. am i doing something wrong? also, i wanted to check the fit of the dash kit on my HU, i cant even fold the face down because the dash kit is so tight.

Has anyone else had this problem???? should i buy a different dash kit???

haha same problem so i had to freaking push it tight together. Anyways, yeah i also have a gap. when you put in ur face... did you mount the H/U so that the face lies flush? i did and had to remove the trim that came with the deck.

does crutchfields dash kit match the color of the trim? i dont even have enough room on top to force the kit trim in. i was thinking about drilling holes in the mount, but even if i did il still have a gap between the climate controls and the trim... WTF SCOSCHE?!?!?!?!
