hi guys, quick question about switching gears between 3 and 4

i have a 2001 maxima se, automatic absolutely love it, but one little thing that bugs me...when im driving about 35 to 40 mph, the transmission seems to have a low growl, getting into fourth gear, seeing that im usually driving around 40 if behind someone its engine just seems like it is stuck trying to get in between gears, it purs when i get over that gear...does anyone have any ideas that could alleviate the problem? ive also turned off the overdrive which makes the transitions smoother, but i dont get the same pickup....any ideas?

Its the unreliable electronic motor mounts that Nissan uses thats failing. O/D on in 4th gear cruising at 40mph will have your TC locked up, if you give it enough gas, the T/C releases from lock-up mode and the car sails quietly again. The car has a load, which causes this drivetrain vibration that apparently is at the same frequency as some metal on the car. If you an live with it, its fine. Its not your transmission
