leaking fuel, need advice (Pic included)
This is my sister's car, 88 maxima, and she said the clamp in the center of the picture is leaking fuel.

Is this the line that goes to the pump and any cheap fix?

that line is right next to the gastank kinda behind the drivers-side rear wheel right?
when i first got the '88 one of those lines was all cracked and it was dripping fuel at an alarming rate, a trip to pep-boys for a foot of hose fixed that pretty quick though (at a whopping cost of about $3.00)

So is it pretty simple to change from under the car? i am physically not there to fix the car, so I'm wondering if it's simple enough for my sister to do it. 007Max, can you tell me exactly what you bought at PepBoys and what exactly you did. That would help a bunch since I am about 2000 miles away from the car.

just make sure she gets the right sized hose that says "fuel line" on itas far as how easy it is... it was easy for me, but then again i installed my own headers on the 4th gen
Hey people - since we're discussing fuel tanks, I'm wondering if you all could answer a fuel PUMP ? for me? The "vapor line" (aka: emissions hose) on my '86 snapped off the other day when I was brushing off some debri. (I admit I was glad it did it then instead of when I was driving). The hose was connected by a hose barb, and (of course) half the barb is in the hose and half is still attached to the pump. It looks like the main part of the pump that the line was attached to is removable and simply has a retainer ring keeping it together. Is it possible to take off ONLY that part of the fuel pump in order to fix the barb/hose? Or am I going to be replacing my fuel pump?
Either way I guess it's doable - just time consuming. Thanks a lot for any help you can give me
Sorry if this is kinda confusing! And yes, I'm new to this site - I love the pics you all have posted - you all have given me a lot of ideas for my baby
