Code 1320 fixed by dealership for $50

I finally brought my car to the dealership for my 1320 code. I had a bad coil. I also have an extended warranty with a $50 deductible. I have a few engine mods one of which is a Y-pipe. I got the dealership to swap out all 6 coils for the $50 deductible. I thought they would definately investigate the Y-pipe. They didn't say anything about the mods, except when I dropped it off.

if you go to autozone, and say you have an SES light and want to know the codes, they'll go out to the car, plug in, and tell you the codes. VERY VERY helpful. jsut post up the code and someone who has an FSM will tell you what it is.

it all depends on the dealer and your relationship with them. i had them fix P0140 which was both secondary o2 sensors for free all while i had my cattman y pipe and custom b pipe on. they even asked to see if after the headers went on. i made up a list of things covered under warranty on my cardomain site and never bothered once with removing any mods. but from what i see posting around here, we seem to be pretty fortunate to have the dealers we do.

While dropping the car off, the guy asked me if I had any mods to the engine. I told him all I had was a muffler and a regular intake. He did however make me sign a paper saying that if they found my car not under warranty that they would charge me $85 for a diagnostics charge. I did have to tell them about 3 times that I had a warranty and it was covered. They were trying to charge me over $650 to replace the coils. They claimed that I my extended warranty was cancelled the day I bought the car. I called Nissan North America and had them contact the dealership to tell them I had a valid extended warranty. It's about time we get one over on the dealership.
